So, Tapey has spent the past three days amongst her kind in their natural environment...namely at an anime convention! dragged me to DaishoCon, which proved to be an epic blasty-blast. I bought tons of awesome stuffage, including two rather large boxes of Pocky of flavors that don't occur naturally outside of the largest US cities, a plush Kamina ('cuz everybody needs one of those~!) some awesome posters, and a wooden katana. Pretty sweet. The people there were all awesome, and I will have to procure the DA list from Nozomi to stalk some of the convention goers on here. Wohoo. Also, I got to go to awesome panels, see amazing cosplay (there was a guy there in Dante -Devil May Cry- garb...and I was going to beat him and steal his beautiful red pleather coat...), and met some awesome people. Amongst said people were author Patrick Rothfuss (I'm reading his first book now...), pencil artist Tim Seeley (who does the Legend of Drizzt graphic novels), and voice actor Travis Willingham (Kanda from D. Gray-Man, Iggy from Ergo Proxy, and Roy Mustang from FMA) where I proceeded to learn that his favorite swear word is assclown. Who knew?

Plus, I ate my body weight in amazing sushi...and my stomach was totally kosher with it. FTW.

Nozomi and I will be hitting the webs with ConQuotes soon (of which the title of this journal comes from).

Anywhoodles, I am now kaput mentally, but I doodled my bum off for you guys (yes, that means new pretty things to ogle). And, to top that off, I only have two days of classes until Thanksgiving break. Hell to the yeah. So long as I can survive tabulating my phenology data. I kind of pity you if you know what that is.
